After Doctor Strange Joined Spider-Man 3, Another Marvel Actor Wants To Join The Cast

It is a unique time to be a Marvel fan. Because while the wait for Phase Four's arrival has been pushed back multiple times due to global health concerns, announcements for the future have helped to buoy anticipation. Jon Watts' third Spider-Man movie is reportedly gearing up for filming, with wild casting announcements going viral over the past few weeks. And with Jamie Foxx and Benedict Cumberbatch reprising their roles as Electro and Doctor Strange respectively, another Marvel fan favorite is hoping to join the threequel as well. Namely, Daredevil star Vincent D'Onofrio.

Daredevil was the first of five Netflix shows set within the MCU, as well as the most popular. Vincent D'Onofrio starred as the iconic Marvel villain Kingpin, with a layered performance that was acclaimed by fans and critics alike. And when fans online debated who they'd like to see join the already stacked cast of Spider-Man 3, D'Onofrio threw his name into consideration by quoting one of his character's iconic lines. Check it out below.

I mean, come on now. With Marvel actors old and new joining Tom Holland for the third Spider-Man solo movie, the possibilities feel endless. The call for Netflix's Marvel heroes to crossover to the big scree had been heard since Daredevil premiered on the streaming service back in 2015. And Vincent D'Onofrio himself has expressed repeated interest in returning to Kingpin. After all, he's a beloved Marvel villain.

Netflix is reportedly set to triple London office space with new headquarters

 KEY POINTS

  • Netflix is reportedly planning to take over a lease on an 87,000-square-foot building in London’s West End from outsourcing giant Capita.
  • The U.S. streaming giant will keep one of its two existing offices in London.
  • Netflix Co-Chief Executive Reed Hastings has previously spoken about the downsides of remote working.
  • LONDON – As the coronavirus forces some companies to scale back on their physical offices, Netflix is planning to triple the amount of office space it has in London and move into a new U.K. headquarters, according to a report from Bloomberg, citing sources familiar with the situation.

  • The California streaming giant is reportedly planning to move to a new 87,000-square-foot building in London’s West End. The property, situated on Berners Street, was occupied by outsourcing firm Capita until recently, but Netflix is said to be taking over the lease.
  • Netflix did not immediately respond to CNBC’s request for comment.
  • Netflix, which has almost 300 staff in Britain, currently rents about 30,000 square foot across two nearby buildings. It will reportedly keep renting one of these and have around 100,000 square foot of office space in London in total after the changes.
  • “As part of our ongoing commitment to the U.K., we are excited to expand our operations in London,” a Netflix spokesperson told Bloomberg.
  • While some companies have embraced remote working, Netflix Co-Chief Executive Reed Hastings isn’t a fan. Last month he told The Wall Street Journal that not being able to meet people face-to-face is a “pure negative.” At the time, he said lots of companies will have staff working four days in the office and one at home.
  • Meanwhile, Capita is in the process of closing a third of its U.K. offices, according to the BBC.

How to run iPhone apps on the new, upcoming generation of Mac computers, or using an emulator app

You can't run iPhone apps on a Mac computer without using an emulator, though that will change with a new generation of Macs, set to come out by the end of 2020. The new Macs will run on Apple's own chipsets that are similar to what's found in iOS devices. To run an iPhone app on an older Intel-based Mac, you need to use an emulator like Xcode. Visit Business Insider's Tech Reference library for more stories. Your Mac isn't generally able to run apps from your iPhone. iOS apps are designed using a fundamentally different architecture than Mac software, which means they're incompatible – Mac programs can't run on iPhones, and iPhone apps can't run on Macs.

You'll soon be able to run iPhone apps on some Mac models

That's about to change, though. In an Apple developer conference earlier this year, Apple announced that it was going to stop building Macs with Intel-based CPUs. In its place, Apple is creating its own chipset in much the same way it already does for iPhones, iPads, and other iOS and mobile devices. When this happens, the new Macs will share a similar architecture to iOS devices and will be able to natively run iPhone apps.

10 Acne Patches That Will Throw That Pimple in Reverse

I used to be incredibly quick to write off certain beauty products. I often assumed new innovations or tools were merely gimmicks, and I had a bad habit of completely discounting certain product categories, like face oils, for fear they'd exacerbate my sensitive, especially acne-prone complexion. (I say "especially" because, no matter how many filtered photos you see on Instagram, the reality is we're human, and we're all acne-prone. Pimples, whether we like it or not, are a fact of life.)

Over time, I realized I actually could use face oils—I just had to be selective. In that same vein, I realized acne patches weren't just a new industry ruse to vacuum even more of my money from my bank account. The first few acne patches I tried didn't do a thing, but I was determined to stick with them. After plenty more experimenting (my Starface Hydro-Stars, $11, were the breakthrough!), I realized some acne patches are, indeed, pretty dang miraculous. I'm all for embracing acne—again, it's a daily reality for so many of us—but sometimes, we just want to pump the breaks when we feel a new pimple (or five) making its way to the surface of our complexion. And that's acceptable. Let me say this: It's amazing if you can make peace with your acne, but it's also okay if you're not quite there yet.
